And yes, you actually can, but there's a couple of different things that we need to do first. So that's what I'm going to be covering in this episode.

Now, here is the deal. Can you start an online business with zero money? And the answer is of all right, and I'm going to break everything down. I'm going to give you action steps so you can go out there and yes, start a business without money out of your pocket necessarily right now, but there is going to require a little bit, but I'm going to show you and kind of describe to you how I would do it if I wanted to use zero money out of my own pocket. All right, so let's get cracking. All right, so first off, can you start a business online for no money? Yeah, I guess you could use like a free website platform and you could probably just use their domain. You wouldn't have your own website address. You would be using something like a blog spot or wordpress.com you would use one of those.

Speaker 1: 02:20 I don't advise that. So what I would recommend doing here is I would raise $100 and you can probably do it for less. You could probably do it for $50 or maybe even less than that. I'm going to break down those costs. Okay, so first off, if you want to just raise a hundred bucks really quickly, here's an action step for you. Okay? And I've shared this with numerous people, including myself back in the day. I did this exact same thing, and that is look around your house, find some stuff that you're going to donate, either to the salvation army or maybe you are going to have a garage sale or a yard sale. Whenever that is. And here's what I want you to do. I want you to go and list that stuff on eBay. Yes, eBay, go to eBay, take a few pictures, post it, and then start selling your stuff.

Speaker 1: 03:14 And you'll probably be surprised. You'll probably make more than a hundred dollars. I actually covered five different ways that you can earn $1,000 per month. And this way here, you can raise money to either start your business or just make some extra cash. And that is episode eight Oh seven. And just list it on eBay. And I actually, like I said, I went out and uh, I helped some people do this and uh, it was just crazy because what happens is, is a lot of times you'll sell stuff before the day has even ended. I've had that happen.

Speaker 1: 04:03 Uh, so just give it a shot. If you want to just make an extra hundred bucks, take some of your stuff that you're thinking about getting rid of and sell it on eBay. Really, really easy. All right, so let's just talk about the next thing before we get into actually how I would go out there and start from scratch. Okay? And I've done this numerous times. I'm actually working on three brands right now that I'm following this exact same model. And you can literally start this for less than a hundred bucks. Okay? So number one though, I want to bring this up because it's really important. You need the right expectations going into this. What do I mean by that? Well, if you think that you're just going to start something today in, in a month, start making money, you're already setting yourself up for failure. Because in most cases, I would say 99% of the time, that is not going to be reality no matter if you start, uh, you know, selling products on Amazon and you want to go down that route, you're probably not going to make money.

Speaker 1: 04:59 You might even lose some money in the beginning until you get up and running, okay? Any business is going to be losing money in the beginning or just breaking even and not drawing from the business. So no matter what business model you're going after, you just got to understand it's going to take some time before you actually make some money to pull out and put in your pocket. The quickest way to just get some extra cash is to flip some products, all right? And that means finding some of your stuff, maybe clearing out one of your neighbor's addicts or your, uh, maybe, uh, maybe it's a mother-in-law, father-in-law, whatever, and start cleaning out their stuff and just start listing that stuff. All right? Because there's a lot of money to be made just there if you want, like instant money. But if you're looking for the long term, which I think you probably are, and what we want to do is we want to build out a brand.

Speaker 1: 05:44 We want to build out a website that gets traffic and from that traffic we can then create multiple revenue streams. And let me just give you the breakdown. Okay. Of what this looks like. And again, if you're new to this show or this channel, uh, you probably don't know that I'm big on building a brand. Okay. And it doesn't have to be like a major brand. It just means we have to go out there and figure out what market we're going to serve. And then from there we're going to get traffic and then from the traffic we're going to start leveraging that traffic with different ways to monetize it. Okay. So let me just kind of give you, I've got like eight points here I want to give you. All right. So number one, we have to choose the right market and we need to validate that.

Okay. Brand growth validation checklist is what we call it. It's where we take you through that entire process and there's a video of me walking you through that process cause that's very, very important. Before anything else comes, you got to validate the market. All right? So number two, we need to choose the domain name, okay? A domain name is just your web address. Okay? So my podcast, a domain is the amazing seller, right? So what you want to do is you want to have your domain name picked, you need to buy that, it's going to cost you anywhere from a dollar 99 to 1299 if you just look up go daddy, you'll probably find some discount codes and stuff.

Speaker 1: 07:08 But basically just about 10 bucks, okay? Then from there we have to set up our website hosting and when we set up the web hosting, we usually need to pay for it. Okay. And it's going to range between three 95 a month to nine 99 a month. Depending on the type of package you can probably get started for, you know, five bucks a month. Okay. So let's just say that you paid for the entire year. You got a little bit of a better deal on that. Let's just say it costs you 60 bucks for the year. You've got your domain name. Let's say it's 10 you've got 70 bucks invested right now. We still got 30 bucks leftover, okay? So at this point, that's really all that you would need to spend in order to get started, okay? And again, you don't even need to spend the 60 you could just do a monthly package and spend less and get started for 20 bucks or 25 bucks or whatever.

Speaker 1: 07:56 All right? So number three is we need to start now filling our content buckets. Our content is what's going to attract the right people by people searching on the internet, and it's going to lead them over to our home base, our website. And then from there we will start to lead them down the road to help them. And usually by doing that, if you do it properly, we also can start making some money from that, all right? And there's a variety of different ways that we can do that, all right? But number three is filling those buckets. And those buckets are your questions bucket your how to bucket. And then from there your product bucket. So we're going to start creating content, whether that's written or videos, doesn't matter. You choose, I prefer written content and some video. Um, but if you do written content, we can then have Google index us or Yahoo or Bing or all of them and then start driving traffic.

Speaker 1: 08:48 Overdo it. But it does take time. All right, I'm going to share with you here in a second, um, some, uh, some data that we're, uh, that we're picking up on because we're doing this and I can kind of share that with you. All right? So that's number three. We got to figure out that content and we got to structure it. And also going through the brand growth validation checklist, we'll identify your market's content or if your market even will lend itself to this. All right? So that is a number three. Number four is we need to write or record one post per week. I call this the 52 X strategy. It's where we are going to show up at least once a week and create a piece of content. So one little one little side tip here. Create a day or set a day of the week that you will publish every single week consistently like clockwork.

Speaker 1: 09:35 All right, so if it's on, if it's on Sunday night, do it on Sunday night. If it's, if it's a Monday morning, do it on Monday morning, but make sure it's done at the same time every single week. And the only reason why I'm saying to do that is because it makes it more of a commitment. And also where you're going to, it's like a job you're going to show up, punch the clock, right? Well, in this case you're going to show up in post that piece of content, which then also is a seed that we're planting in the market that can lead people back to our website. All right, so that's a one post per week. Again, if we do this for a year, that's 52 pieces of content that they're going to be out there pointing people back to our website. All right, now this is optional. This next one, this is number five.

Speaker 1: 10:15 Build an email list. If we build an email list, we can really start to accelerate the growth of the brand because now we're not waiting for Google to index this. We're not waiting for Yahoo and Bing to inc to index us or YouTube or whatever. Wherever we're posting, we can then build the email list and then from there we can go ahead and send those people over to our new blog posts or our new YouTube video, right? So we can amplify the content a lot quicker. All right? Now if you want help with that, okay. Speaker 1: 11:04 We'll show you the market and everything of over 7,000 email subscribers. So that's the full process, but that's optional. Number six, keep digging for more long tail keywords. What's a long tail keyword? Well, it's basically something other than a garlic press, right? Or bass fishing. It's going to be like how to catch bass in a pond that's a long tail, meaning it's a longer word or a longer phrase. Okay. So, uh, something could be, um, can you catch bass with worms? That would be a long tail. It's also a question. See, that's in our question bucket. Uh, how to would be like, how to catch more bass in a pond. And then a product bucket would be something like, um, five best, uh, bass lures, um, to use in Lake, something like that. That would be a long tail. Okay. So what we want to do is we want to find these long tail, so we're gonna do a little bit of research and then from there we want to start filling those buckets and then start creating out of those buckets.

Speaker 1: 12:03 Okay. And then the, uh, the seventh one here is again optional. We've been seeing really, really good results with this in not in all of the brands that we're working in right now is Pinterest. All right? And Pinterest can be a beast on its own, but it's a search engine. If you've ever searched for something on Google and you've seen a Pinterest result comes up, that's because Google loves Pinterest. So why not also create some content there that can lead people back to our home base. And we're getting some really good results right now. And we're actually early on in two of our brands, we just actually started it. Uh, one of them is about three months old, the other one is about a month and a half old and we're starting to get some really, really good traffic and we're going to be hitting probably about a hundred people per day that are coming over just from Pinterest.

Speaker 1: 12:48 We've got another brand that we're getting a thousand people over at a clip. So it just, it takes time. But it's one of those channels that you might want to consider and also is your market there. Um, so again, when you go through that brand growth validation checklist, it will all start to make sense. All right? So that's optional. And then the last thing is, is you need to commit and you need to stay consistent, okay? That's why I said create that date, create that time and stick with it. All right? Stick with it. If you show up and just keep showing up, but posting and putting out seeds in the marketplace that lead back to the home base, you've got a greater chance, right? It makes sense. Right? If we only put down three seeds, right? There's a chance that one of them is going to work, but the other two might not.

Speaker 1: 13:31 Right? But if I do 12 I'm gonna have a better chance if I do 25 better chance, 52 better chance, hundred you know, got better chance. So that's what we want to do is stay consistent. Now in, I'm going to go over the three brands right now. Okay. That we're working in one brand we have is just about three years old. That one there is getting and from following this same process. Okay? That one there is getting anywhere from 150,000 to 200,000 page views per month. Okay? Now we're running ads on that site as well. So we're generating income from that anywhere from 3000 to $5,000. We also have affiliate offers running through that site. We also have our own products running through that digital and physical, but that comes later. It doesn't have to come right off the bat, but there's a lot of different ways that you can monetize.

Speaker 1: 14:16 Now there's two other brands that we're building actually inside of brand creators Academy. That's another reason that you may want to join us is because we are in there in the trenches building something that is fairly new, right? It's not something that's already fully established. Um, and so this way here you can see all of the, all of the thought process, what's working, what's not working and all of that stuff. So basically in brand number two, that one there right now is only six months old around it's a little bit actually less than that. And that one there, we just did the report on this 6,863 page views in last 30 days and unique visitors is 4,282 so even that just right there, less than six months old. And we're getting right now, I just looked today actually we're over 300 people now per day that are showing up to that site.

Speaker 1: 15:06 Imagine that right? Having that many people come to the website. Now brand number three, which is a little bit older, maybe a month, that one, there's at 13,560 page views and 9,037 visitors per month now and that's hockey sticking. Both of those brands are boom, they're shooting right up will probably come close to doubling that the following month. So that's how it works. But you gotta get past the beginning stages, the first three months, the first four months where you're thinking to yourself, man, is this thing gonna really pay off? Is this really going to pay off? When you've got to ask yourself are you putting in the work? Are you actually putting out the content or the the traffic assets that's going to lead people back to your brand? And that's what you got to ask yourself. So again, let me just give you a little bit of a recap on what this looks like.

Speaker 1: 15:50 Cause if we get traffic, okay, then we can have multiple ways that we can monetize that traffic and we can test things within that market. All right? So just remember that. And we can control the traffic in a variety of different ways as well, right? So let's kind of break it down real quick and we're going to recap. So number one, okay, and again, we can do this for less than a hundred bucks guys, right? It's just you have to put in the work, right? Okay. So number one, choose your market and validate it, okay? Number two, choose a domain name and set up your website hosting. Create your home base. All right. Number three, create content buckets. Filling the questions bucket, the how to bucket and the products bucket. Okay. And number four, write or record one post per week minimum. That's a minimum.

Speaker 1: 16:36 And I want you to set a date and schedule that every single week. Exact same time. Okay? And then number five, optional. Don't have to do this. Build an email list, okay? And then that way there we can amplify that content. And then number six, keep digging and filling those buckets with long tail keywords. In the beginning, we want to go after longer tail keywords that might not get as much traffic, but they're going to be easier to get ranked for in Google or Yahoo or Bing or even YouTube. Okay? So we want to do that. And then seven, this is optional as well, is use Pinterest to start driving traffic as well. All right? And then eight, the last one here is commit and just stay consistent. Stay consistent. That's really, really important. And stay consistent and commit even though you might not be seeing the rewards yet.

Speaker 1: 17:28 You got to keep showing up and you got to keep producing. All right? It's like anything. If you want a result, you got to show up and even if it's the smallest thing you got to show up.
