The Amazing Seller

I’m Scott Voelker, creator of The Amazing Seller Podcast and Blog. If you’re new to the world of Amazon FBA Selling and Private Labeling, this page is for you! It contains the information you need to get up to speed quickly and start your own Amazon FBA Business!

I've been selling on Amazon since October 22nd, 2014 and I share my story on TAS Episode #2.

– How Scott Went From Zero to $40K in 90 days

I wanted to document my entire process and decided to create individual episodes that discuss step by step details to outline each step.

Update: I recently launched a NEW Brand in April of 2017 to prove the process still works and to generate another revenue stream. After 12 months we have surpassed 6 figures and plan to build this into a 7 figure brand over the next 12 months.

NEW: After publishing the 5 part series, I received requests to put together training for just finding products. So, I decided to start from scratch and document the entire process in this NEW training.

If you're interested…check out the details below.

Product Discovery Bootcamp – I created this training to teach how to find low competitive products and build a BRAND. You will look over my shoulder as I start from scratch to find a market and then discover 3 to 5 products that will be sold. This training will help you discover YOUR market and find products that you can sell within your BRAND.

Resources and Tools I Use in My Businesses

There's Resources and Tools I discuss and share in the podcast. I've created a page that has all of them listed.

Don't Get Overwhelmed!

One of the things I see many new sellers struggle with is information overload. Don't get sidetracked with all the shiny objects you see. If you follow these simple 6 steps, you will be well on your way to selling your first Private Label product on Amazon.

As always, you can leave me a question here on the blog.

  • Hey Scott,
Once my products are ready in china to ship to Amazon warehouse in USA. Then what documents do I need to show to Amazon that these are my products and are associated with my brand?

And as I am from India then do I need any TIN or EIN number to sell on Amazon USA store?

    • HEy Gaurav, you don’t need to show them anything, unless you’re going through the brand registry process. If that’s what you’re doing you would need a website, and email address associated to that website and pictures of your products with your branding on them.

  • Hi scott.
    BIG BIG question
Tt’s VERY long time since I did not succeed to cuch you or your attention.
will you – please – contact my mail & let me contact you directly ???
    thank’s Amram.

  • Hi Scott,

I’m new to your podcast and started watching from the very beginning but considering those podcasts are from 2015, I wanted to know where you would suggest I start listening to get information that is more relevant to today’s Amazon market?

    • Hey Melany, you may want to checkout the “start here” section on the site. You also may want to come to a workshop. Those are a condensed version of everything in just a few hours! Theamazingseller.com/workshop

  • Hi Scott,

I found it a bit challenging to list my product on Amazon. Is there a resource you recommend that can help with that process? Thank you for what you do!

  • Hi Scott. I have a few questions about the money side of this. Should the amazon sellers account be attached to a LLC i would have to make? Should you have a separate savings/checking account for the company?

  • Scott,
Sending you a huge warm MAHALO from Hawaii. (Mahalo = thank you in Hawaiian) Thank you for all the hard work and excellent resources you’ve put together in helping listeners grow our businesses.
    Best regards,
    Gene

  • Scott, I have listened to several episodes, and truly enjoy your show. Keep up the great work!

I don’t currently have the capital to start a private label, so I will be starting with retail arbitrage. Do you have any advise on resources for getting started in RA? (Books, Podcasts, etc.)

  • Hey Scott,

I have been using Jungle Scout Web Apps and chrome extension, also I have seen all the videos from Greg Mercer, he suggested I join your website here for more info and so far I love it.

My questions was I gave sources about 3 great private label ideas and since I don’t have capital to start all three would you suggest to start with one at a time and try it out or I should borrow money and start all 3?

  • Hello

First of all thanks you for all
i have a question that i cant find answer to it anywhere
When it comes to find a profitable product so i should note an importent things like the BSR and reviews
So when it comes to find the right product to sale on amazon i find alot of good product that has a great bsr to start with but i notice alot of the same product with different BSR with is very HIGH ON THE SKY 30K-60K even more and then im getting stuck again.
Well whats that should tell me if theres a few same product diferrent branded good BSRS but when im digging inside the ads on the product itself i can find it with 30000 bsr or even more so what now?

  • Hi Scott,
I am just starting out after listening for four months and taking the all import ACTION now!
I am registered for the live training also.
I don’t understand the process entirely however if I am based in the UK and decide to sell in Europe or America do I tell my chosen Chinese suppliers to send the products direct to an Amazon warehouse, if so how do you track this process and choose the warehouse? (I would always get a sample sent to me first however from the Chinese supplier)

Thank you scott – you are a wonderful teacher.
