Today we’re going to be talking about how to create raving fans and customers for your brand. I get questions about this all the time and am excited to talk about this subject today. Loyal fans will provide you with a solid base of people who are loyal to your brand, want to hear from you, consume content from you, and are more likely to buy your products.
We originally covered this specific topic in one of our recent coffee talks with my morning crew. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we get together virtually and discuss topics like this. We also have a player where you can search for any specific topic and find every place where I talk about it.
If you want to join us, head over to takeactioncrew.com to sign up. It’s free, and we’d love to have you join us. It’s also a great way to surround yourself with other business owners who are building their own brands.
If you haven’t built your email list, it’s time to get started. I talk a lot about the importance of an email list and how it will help build a relationship with your subscribers. If you’re looking for some guidance on this topic, I’d love to invite you to our on-demand list building workshop.
You can sign up here. Once you purchase the course, you’ll have immediate access to our three-hour workshop, and within a few hours, learn how to build your list up to 500 subscribers within30 days. It’s much more simple than you might think.
Provide Value to Your Community
Keep in mind that when you’re building a brand and a loyal fan base, it will take hard work and dedication. However, you’ll find that in the long run, it’s going to be well worth it, especially when you do it the right way.
I am a big believer that if you are willing to put in the time and effort, good things will follow. I have this happen time and time again with people in my own community who are building their own brands.
The question I get asked the most is how to spend energy on something when you’re not getting paid. How do you bring attention to your brand and show that you’re genuinely happy to help them for free? Especially when you need to pay the bills? It will take some time and patience, that’s for sure.
The goal is to avoid seeming pushy or trying to force something to purchase something. It’s not about the product. It’s about the result. What result and satisfaction can people get from your product or brand? No matter what you sell, you need to make sure that you’re highlighting the benefits and how it will help make their life better. In the long run, this will help you grow your business and see money come in quicker than if you took a different approach.
Goodwill Is The Key To Brand Loyalty
I created my workshops for a few different reasons. The main reason is that I know that no matter where people in my market are in their journey, they need help with various parts of building their own brand.
I will be honest, the latest niche building workshop that I recently created is getting a small amount of attention compared to the other ones that I have created. A lot of people on my list are past the point of finding their niche and have already started to build their brands.
However, I’m doing it to help that one person who needs help picking their niche. I’m creating an asset that I can sell for years to come. I’ve spent over twelve hours creating this course, but it’s been worth it. I’ve taken the time to do it, and I’m investing in this three-hour training for a reason.
I’m doing it to help that one person who is coming in who is brand new or jumping from one niche to another. From there, it’ll help them move along to the next part of the journey, and they can purchase my other digital products as they continue to build out their brand.
It’s important to map out your own customer journey and see how you can help your community along the way. From the beginning, it’s important to be willing to create free content and add goodwill to the marketplace before ever expecting anyone to buy from you.
It’s important to have the mindset that you’re creating a brand to help someone. You’re giving them a result that will help them in their daily life. You want to help people with both free and paid offerings.
Most times it will start by offering something for free. For every single brand I’ve ever had, I have always offered free products and content. This is all about goodwill and getting the word out there. Also, it will help you stand out from other people in your market.
Our very first giveaway for our photography business was having people enter their name and email on a card and placing it in a fishbowl. We got over a hundred new people on our email list and were able to reach out directly to them with goodwill and build trust. Although the process is slightly different now, this is exactly what you should be doing in your own brand.

Yes, Send Me The Roadmap!Always Overdeliver On Your Promises
Give away your best stuff when you’re working on growing your brand. I know this can seem counterproductive. However, trust me, people will still want to pay to go deeper into your niche. Provide your audience with free content that will be beneficial to them.
You can always create digital products and courses that go into more detail. Your loyal audience will be prepared to pay for that. They don’t want to have to dig around your website to gather all the content they need. So you can definitely make money on digital products and other products.
The goal from the very beginning is to help people. This is how you will create raving fans and show that you genuinely care. Like I said before, you can always promote your products as long as you incorporate them strategically and overdeliver on your promises.
Never abandon your fans if they don’t buy. Continue to send content and value to your community even if they don’t purchase a product. When you promote hard and hitting your list hard, always come back right after with value. Show your community that you are not going to abandon them when they do not purchase from you.
You also need to follow up with people. If someone sends you a message on social media or to your website, always respond as quickly as possible! Most people don’t do this, but it’s a good way to show that you’re taking the time to create a relationship with them on an individual level.
That’s how you create customers for life. Blow people away by giving them more than they expect and giving them your time. It really doesn’t matter what niche you’re in. Stick to these rules and always be willing to help people.
I would rather take my chances and help people too much than not help them at all. I will always take full responsibility if I don’t reach back out or miss an email from a community member. Why? Because it’s so important to be there for each person as an individual and show them that you care.
The best part about this entire process is that you don’t have to have a massive customer base to be successful. If you’re following the brand-building roadmap that I talk about all the time, you know that it’s about showing up on a regular basis and providing value to your market. Do that, and you will see the most success and gain a loyal fan base in the process.
If you enjoyed that session, we’d love to have you sign up for our weekly coffee talks. We get together online every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It’s a great way to get your own questions answered and join a community of some amazing people who are in the process of building their own brand.
