RYB 919: How Can I Start My Day and Guarantee Success? – Jam Session

In today’s coffee talk, I’m sharing how to best start your day and be guaranteed success. I get this question in a variety of ways. People want to know how I start my day and how people get things done when they have a full-time job on top of their own business. Today I’m going to share with you how you can see success and start your day off right by sharing my own experience. 

Set Yourself Up For Success With Your Morning Routine 

It should all start before you even get up in the morning. The minute you start your day, it’ll feel like your day is gone in a flash if you don’t prepare. Your focus becomes what your emails, boss, or customers are telling you, and it’s hard to control. It can quickly become someone else’s day if you’re not careful, and it’ll be difficult to find the time to get the things done you had hoped.

To avoid this, you need to sit down and establish what you’re striving for each day and how to set it up so you feel success before you even get started. But make a plan beforehand so you have a plan of action that you can execute. 

In the past, I had set up my morning for success by getting up and taking a walk first thing. From there, I would meditate for 10 minutes, read a positive message, and would do a light workout. That was all great, and I felt really good. But once I hurt my back, it messed up my morning, and I thought I didn’t have time to meditate anymore.

So after my walk, I would just get ready for the day. I kept thinking that something was missing, and I knew that I needed to get my old routine back but implement a few changes. 

I feel like if I’m not working by 8-8:15 am, then I’m behind the rest of the day and end up having to work much later than I’d like to. In order to stay on track, I reconfigured my morning. I’m getting up an extra 15 minutes early, the first thing I do is drink my celery juice, and I haven’t missed a day since I started over a month ago. From there, I take a 30-minute walk. I take the same route every day.

Today, when I came in after my walk, I went into a 10-minute session of pilates. It felt great. Next, I did a 10-minute meditation session. I felt great getting back into a routine that has helped me to be productive and see the best success. 

How to Set Yourself Up For Sucess In Your Business 

You have to plan ahead if you want to see success. This goes for all aspects of your life. What are the core things you need to do to get where you want to go? You have to figure out where you’re going first before you do anything else. It’s that simple. Once you have a plan mapped out, it’s much easier to plan how to execute that plan.

You’ll discover that by having your day planned and mapped out, you’ll be able to see so much more success than if you just try to go with the flow or plan as you go along. And it’ll make sure that you get the most important things done before anything else, so you’re able to see the progress that you want. 

One of the main reasons why people don’t see success in their business is that they don’t have a plan or a routine that sets them up to see positive results. It’s important to give yourself credit and get excited about each small success.

Don’t beat yourself when things don’t go as planned. However, be prepared to get back up and try again. You have to plan what your day looks like, identify where you’re feeling scattered and why you’re feeling scattered so you can make the necessary changes.  

You have to intentionally create a habit, install it, and make it a routine. The key is to get started today and take it one small step at a time. I have found that by implementing this into my own life, I’ve seen far more success than I could have ever imagined and felt so much better when I have a plan to follow. 

Coffee Talk Q&A 

Q: What tips would you give someone who wants to host a workshop?

A: If you ever face any issues, it shouldn’t be a big deal because you can always do it over again if something goes wrong. One of the easiest ways to hose a workshop is to create a Facebook group and broadcast live there, and there isn’t much that can go wrong there. It’s actually really simple to so it’s a great platform for beginners. 

Q: Do you still go on a walk when it’s cold outside?

A: Yes I do! I bundle up even when it’s cold to make sure I get in my daily walk. I really enjoy listening to the sounds around me and rarely listen to something in my headphones. It allows me to be centered and enjoy the world around me. Going on a walk isn’t just about exercise for me. It’s also about finding clarity and peace while clearing my mind. 

Q: What areas of life do you set goals in?

A: Personally, I usually set more yearly goals than anything. My overarching goals are to have flexibility, freedom, and being able to set my own schedule. With business goals, I look at the next year and go backward to achieve that one day at a day. That’s where planning out your days in advance comes into play and helps you accomplish your overarching goals. 

Q: Do you still take mtc oil in your coffee?

A: No, I typically only include the butter now. I just didn’t think I needed both and phased it out with time. I always just do the grass-fed butter now and really enjoy the way it tastes. 

Q: What is the pilates app you use?

A: It’s called “A Balanced Life” by Robin Long. My wife really likes her program, so I’ve decided to give it a try too and like it so far. 

Q: What do you export a word doc into a pdf doc?

A: You can usually just go to file and export as a pdf or go file, print, and it’ll save as a pdf. If you do a quick Google search, you should be able to find some quick and simple videos explaining the different techniques depending on the type of computer that you have.

Hopefully, this discussion helped you and got you thinking about what you can do to get yourself really started in the right direction and immediately see success in your day, so it carries on throughout the day. This will help you set yourself up for a win from the beginning. This gives you control to focus on yourself so you can be healthier and happier, leading into your day.
